Here’s a recent spread I shot for Rides magazine in Miami in late February featuring Cincinnati Bengal Chad Ocho Cinco. Chad was a great host and allowed us carte blanche around Casa Ocho Cinco including allowing me drive all of his cars – a first for me on a Rides shoot! Don’t listen to the haters – Chad’s an awesome guy. And yes, he does tweet that much!

James “Bubba” Stewart in Orlando for ESPN the Magazine

Just a quick clip from a shoot with Moto-X superstar James “Bubba” Stewart and his mechanic Dave Bell for ESPN the Magazine’s EXPN. Bubba was a great subject and as nice as he seems on his reality show. His compound outside Orlando is sick and I had hoped to photograph him on his moto-x track but he was just coming off wrist surgery and not able to ride.

Centenarians in Central Florida For Time Magazine

In January I photographed 2 centenarians (people 100 years old or over) for Time magazine. Onie Ponder, 111, and Leonard McCracken, 107, were born in a time before air travel, interstates and air conditioning.

I worked with picture editor Leslie dela Vega (now P.D. at Essence) to capture the centenarians personality. I was working in concert with 3 other photographers and going for what Leslie described as an “Avedon” look. I didn’t want the lighting to overwhelm the subject matter so I kept it simple.
