Bob Croslin photographs the Black Metal Vegan Chef for Time magazine

I was able to hang out with the Black Metal Vegan Chef and shoot some images of him doing his thing in the kitchen recently for Time magazine. Even though he’s a sensation on Youtube he hasn’t let it go to his head and he’s as talented a musician as he is a chef. He whipped up a spicy tai noodle dish and a vegan smoothie all to an ear-bleeding soundtrack of Norwegian black metal by the likes of Dimmu Borgir and Naglfar. It was so loud that my assistant Ken wore ear plugs for most of the shoot.

    Yes! I tasted the noodles and they were fantastic. The smoothie was very good as well. He’s the real deal.
